In many cultures, a single year is divided to “Shiki” or four seasons.  Traditionally in Japan, we break up the season more precisely to 24 seasons.

At Kikyo-ya, we handle handmade Japanese traditional sweets, “Wagashi”, for any cultural and religious events that are seasonally-appropriate in all 24 seasons as well as other unique varieties at any time of the year.

“Wagashi” is very low in calories in comparison to commonly served western desert and also high in fibers.

We also serve Kikyo-ya exclusive “Wagashi” with a mix of cheese or chocolate that are pretty popular among our foreign customers.
